This limited edition three-ring professional drum has deep carvings that encompass two important spiritual symbols. The Gye Nyame on one side, meaning “except for God” represents the supremacy of God in Akan Cosmology. The Pentacle on the other side, though misrepresented in modern times, has five points that symbolize Air, Water, Earth, Fire, and most importantly Spirit, pointed up toward heaven.
This design will be retired when our inventory runs out, meaning that only about one hundred of them exist on earth, get yours before they’re gone. (Please note that items on close-out may have slight cosmetic blemishes but nothing affecting the performance of the drum). Drum measures 25”-26” tall, with a 14”-15” overall head diameter and a 12.5”-13.5” playing surface. The Universal Spirit Djembe is one of our In-House drums (imported direct!)

In-House Professional Djembe Features:

• Three-ring system at the head for elimination of skin slippage and more stable tuning system
• Natural untreated goat skin taken from the goat’s spine.
• Lateral-groove rough-surfaced carvings on the shell’s interior bowl to reduce overtones.
• A total of 35 rope-runner pairs (70 total laterals) provides more stable and even tuning.
