Ashiko

The ashiko’s origin differs widely depending on who you talk to. However, many people believe it to be early an 20th Century fusion of the West African Djembe and the Afro-Cuban Conga, creating a conical-shaped drum with deep bass and smooth tones.

Bougarabou

Bougarabous are the West African version of a Conga Drum providing deep bass, rich full tone, and conga slap. Depending on personal tuning preference, the Bougarabou’s sound can range from warm conga-like tones to deep resonating bass tones. Made from one piece Mahogany wood with water buffalo skin heads and nylon rope, these Bougarabous are awesome-roped tuned drums for the mobile drum circle enthusiast.
