Each djembe in this category is 100% traditionally hand-carved from start to finish (NOT lathe turned), by master carvers in Mali, West Africa (Mali is the traditional country of origin for the djembe). Basic Pro Djembe

The basic series pro drums in this category come from a variety of sources ranging from Name-brand companies to our own “In-House” drums, which we import directly. Each drum in this category meets our rigorous standards for use by professional musicians and also players of all levels. The drums in this category are all one-piece shell construction and hollowed-out by a lathe to keep prices low. The country of origin is often Indonesia or Ghana depending on the specific drum.
