This is currently a work in progress, but with your help we’ll continue to expand this list!
It’s our goal here at Mother Rhythm Drums to spread the positive energy of rhythm and drumming. This includes spreading the word about drum circles across the United States.
With that in mind, if you attend a drum circle or are a facilitator, we encourage you to submit information on your drumming circle by filling out the form below. Please provide the specific location, as well as the days and times it’s held. We will NOT disclose your personal information unless you otherwise request that we do so. If you do choose to have any personal contact information listed, please be aware it will be posted for public viewing on this page.

Brooklyn:

New York City:
-Sundays afternoons during the spring and summer months, at about 4:00 pm there is a drum circle in Central Park near the band shell (72nd street).
-Saturdays during warm weather at Marcus Garvey Park at 123rd street and 5th Avenue
North Carolina
Gold Hill:
-On-going drum circle the 2nd Sunday of each month at Sacred Grove Retreat/Bed and Bike Inn 15750 Mattons Grove Church Rd., Gold from 2:00-4:00pm. Cost is $5 and no experience is needed. Wilmington:
-African Drumming Circle every Saturday morning from 10-11:30 am at the Unity Church, 717 Orchard Ave. (910)763-5155. All ages and/or experience welcome. Please bring extra drums if you have any to share. Drumming is free to all, but they do ask that attendees place a love offering in the basket to defray cost of room rental and cover cost of occasional guest drummers to visit and teach.
Pennsylvania
Pittsburgh:
-Drum circle meets the 3rd Sunday of every month 4 pm to 6 pm at the Irma Freeman Center for Imagination 5006 Penn Ave. $5 donation covering the space. Facilitated by Yamoussa Camara. Follows a West African drumming class held every Sunday. Walk-ins welcome. Look up Yamoussa Camara’s website for more information.
Washington
Bainbridge Island:
-Drum Circle meets Every Sunday from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at the Grange Hall on 10324 Madison Ave E. All levels are welcome, ages 13 and older. Some drums provided. The purpose of this group is to connect with other hand percussionists, drummers, dancers, we ask for a $10.00 donation to help cover the rent for the space. West Virginia
